Method 1: How to Upload an Image to Midjourney as Reference?

First, you can upload your photo to Midjourney as use it in prompts as a part of your creation. The process is also simple and straightforward. However, with this method, you can only upload one image to Midjourney one time.

1. Upload an Image to Midjourney via Discord

Step 1. Open the Discord server where you're using Midjourney.

Step 2. Navigate to the chat channel where you want to create your prompt.

Step 3. Click the "+" icon next to the chat box. Select "Upload File". Then locate and choose the image you want to upload to Midjourney. Click "Open" to upload it to the chat.

You can also drag and drop the image into Midjourney directly. Remember, after the local image is loaded, you need to press Enter to upload it to Midjourney.

2. Use the Uploaded Image in Midjourney Prompts as Reference

Step 1. To use the uploaded photo in Midjourney prompts, you need to get the URL address the image first. Here are different ways to get it:

Midjourney's Blend feature allows users to upload 2-5 images/photos to Midjourney to generate a new picture. For text and image combinations, use image prompts and text with /imagine.
